Beautiful Spring weather and so much happening!

Our Pack Campout is next weekend 6/7-6/8 at Lene Lenape. Boy Scouts from Troop 72 will be joining us. Please email Linda Quigley lquigs@aol.com ASAP and let us know if you'll be there.

REminder: Tradeshow of Scouting on Monday nite June 2, 5:45 - 9:00 PM, The Birchwood Manor in Whippany More Info and Advanced Registration. Good stuff if you can drop by.

Because of the Tradeshow, there will not be a Bear Den Meeting on Monday nite 06/02. We will have the last Bear Den meeting this season on Monday 06/16. Please email a confirmation back to me if you can be there.

The Bear Scout

When a Cub Scout has completed the second grade (or is 9 years old) and has earned the Bobcat Badge, he may start earning the Bear rank. This part of the boy scout trail is intended to take one school year, preparing the scout to begin earning his Webelos rank after he completes third grade. In the Bear scouting program, there are 4 general achievement groups: God, Country, Family, and Self. In each group, a certain number of achievements are required to earn the Bear rank badge. After earning the Bear badge, the scout may earn arrow points by completing additional achievement tasks.
